Allotment

The term allotment may be used in at least three ways:

• allotment (gardening)
• allotment (radio) — also see bandplan
• the division and sale of land on Indian reservations in the United States in the 19th century and early 20th century. Related legislation includes the Dawes Act (1887) and Nelson Act (1889).
• the division and sale of aboriginal land in Australia around the same time as above.
