Alison Lohman


 

Alison Lohman (born September 18, 1979) is an American actress who was born in Palm Springs, California. Although her family has no show business connections, she has been acting since age 9. Her father Gary Lohman is an architect and her mother Diane Lohman is a bakery owner.

Lohman, although she's infamous for being shy, is also a singer, and has performed as a featured solo vocalist for Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope and the Desert Symphony.

When she was a senior in high school, she won an award from the National Foundation of the Advancement of the Arts. After graduating, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a film career.

She played an older teen pretending to be a fourteen year-old in the movie Matchstick Men. In real life she was 22 at the beginning of the film's shooting, and 23 at the end of it. Lohman was one of a few actresses sought to play the title role in a female version of "Robyn Hood". Keira Knightley won the title role instead. It was re-named Princess of Thieves.
