Alexandra Hasluck
Dame Alexandra Hasluck AD (1908–1993) was an author and social historian in Western Australia. Born Alexandra Darker in Perth, Western Australia in 1908, she graduated from the University of Western Australia. In 1932 she married Paul Hasluck, who would later become Governor-General of Australia. On 3 June 1978, Alexandra Hasluck was appointed a Dame of the Order of Australia for "services to Australian letters". She died in 1993.
