Reference in Bonanza television series

In the television series Bonanza, there was an episode where Ben Cartwright (Lorne Greene) helped young Albert Abraham Michelson obtain his appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy, despite the opposition of a racist teacher. Bonanza was set in and around Virginia City, Nevada, where Michelson lived prior to his appointment to the Naval Academy. In the postscript to the episode, Greene mentions Michelson's 1907 Nobel Prize.
