Alaric I
Alaric I (Alaric or Alarich, in Latin Alaricus and in Spanish Alarico) was likely born about 370 CE on an island named Peuce (the Fir) at the mouth of the Danube, became king of the Visigoths from 395–410, and was the first Germanic leader to take the city of Rome. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
