Alan Sandals


 

Alan Sandals is an attorney based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a candidate for the Democratic, nomination for U.S. Senate in the 2006 election. His opponents in the Democratic Primary are Bob Casey Jr., the State Treasurer of Pennsylvania, and Chuck Pennacchio, a college professor and former congressional aide. If he wins the Democratic Primary, Sandals will face either incumbant Senator Rick Santorum or real estate broker John Featherman, depending on who wins the Republican nomination.

Sandals is a 1980 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and specializes his law practice in the fields of retirement security (ERISA), pension fund investments, and health care finance. He is a native of Manchester, Connecticut and a 1972 graduate of Manchester High School. Following high school, he earned a B.A. in religion at Haverford College in 1976.
