Among the weird and wonderful abilities of aladin he can apparently throw a poker-sized playing card 86 metres / yards and a bridge-sized card (smaller) about 66 metres /yards ? contrasting with the 61 metres currently listed by Guinness World Records. He is known to have cracked a glass window pane this way as he reputedly propels cards to well over 100 mph. His world record distance is reported to have been achieved at the Millennium Dome in London in 2004.

aladin has been pursuing other professional interests than the commercial exploitation of his magician?s skills, telegenic looks and aristocratic ways (his father is a former Ambassador and Foreign Secretary). In addition to his well regarded management consultancy work, aladin has an eclectic portfolio as a Professor. He has been teaching in Britain and Scandinavia at universities and research institutions, ranging from Business Schools to Cultural Anthropology Departments.
