Al McGuire

Al McGuire was the coach who led the Marquette University Men's Basketball team from 1964-1977. After retiring from coaching, McGuire became a commentator for NBC Sports and CBS Sports. McGuire compiled impressive numbers throughout his career, culminating in an induction to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1992.

Born in 1928 in New York City, McGuire attended and played basketball at Saint John's University, New York. After a brief career in the NBA, McGuire began coaching. After stints at Dartmouth College and Belmont Abbey College, Al became head coach at Marquette. His accomplishments include:
