Al-Fuqra'

Al-Fuqra' is a Pakistan-based extremist group believed to be responsible for the fatal stabbing of Rashad Khalifa in 1990. U.S. officials claim that al-Fuqra is a sect of mostly African-American Muslims (not connected to the Nation of Islam) that number in the thousands and have planned various acts of violence in several states. They also have been known to operate in Canada and Cote d'Ivoire.
