Ajit Agarkar
Ajit Bhalchandra Agarkar (born December 4, 1977 in Bombay - now Mumbai) is an Indian cricketer. When he arrived in the Indian team, he was viewed by some as a replacement for Kapil Dev. Early in his career, Agarkar set a world record for the fastest 50 wickets in One-day International matches (ODIs). He has scored a Test century at Lord's.

He made his debut on April 1st 1998 on a very hot day in Kochi ( the first International one-day game played at the Nehru Stadium there). The match was a high scoring one, with nearly 600 runs being scored. Though Agarkar was smacked for a few runs, he ended up with the crucial wicket of Adam Gilchrist, and on the whole had looked impressive.
