Ainsdale is a Village in Sefton, Merseyside, centered 3 miles south of Southport.

Ainsdale was listed in the Domesday book as Einulvesdel. This apparently was the valley occupied by a Scandinavian by the name of Einulfr.

RAF Woodvale is located at the southern edge of Ainsdale.
