Aggregate
The term aggregate may refer to— ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ - in communication, to collect messages from multiple sources for presentation together, as in an RSS (file format) aggregator or News aggregator.
- in computer science, an object which is composed of multiple elements, such as an array or a record.
- in materials science, an aggregate is a component of a composite material used to resist compressive stress.
- in counting, a collection of units, such as an aggregate flower (a type of inflorescence called a head); also the whole or sum total, as in aggregate score.
- in music, the full chromatic scale of twelve equal tempered pitches. See total chromatic and combinatoriality.
- in rocketry, the Aggregate series was a set of experimental rocket designs developed in Nazi Germany.
