African Children's Choir
The African Children's Choir is a large choir made up of children ages 7 to 11, from the nKomazi region in South Africa. All of the children are orphans, having lost one or both of their parents to the AIDS epidemic in their region.

The Choir was founded in 1984 in Uganda and has expanded since. Each year new children are selected for it. Proceeds from the Choir's work are used to fund musical and general education efforts for African children affected by poverty and disease.

The Choir has released a number of albums and DVDs over the years, and has performed at events around the world.

In July 2005 the Choir achieved worldwide visibility at the Live 8 concert in London when they performed with Mariah Carey and Paul McCartney.
