Adrian Belew
Adrian Belew (born December 23, 1949 as Robert Steven Belew) is a guitarist and vocalist, perhaps best known for his work in King Crimson since 1981. He has released a number of solo albums on the Island Records label, and Atlantic Records. In 1977, he performed with Frank Zappa, appearing in Zappa's 1979 concert film Baby Snakes. He also supported David Bowie at several tours during the late 70s and early 80s as lead guitarist and backing vocals. Belew is heard on the 1980 album Remain in Light by the Talking Heads. Beside that he also worked with Laurie Anderson during the mid-1980s, appearing in her concert film, Home of the Brave, as well as contributing to two Nine Inch Nails albums, The Downward Spiral and The Fragile. He also contributed his lead guitar stylings to Porcupine Tree's latest album, Deadwing (2005).
