Adam's Rib

Adam's Rib is a 1949 American film in which Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy play married lawyers who take opposing sides on a case in which a woman tries to frighten her adulterous husband, by shooting at him while he is with another woman(during which she does shoot him a few times, but in the film, says that she only attended to frighten him, having no intention to kill or injure her husband). The tension in the courtroom carries over into the legal couple's household.
