AD-mix


 
 

AD-mix is a chiral ligand and stands for the Asymmetric dihydroxylation mix. This chemical mixture is employed in the Sharpless bishydroxylation reaction. This product is commercially available comes in two variations, AD-mix α and AD-mix β.

In AD-mix α DHQ2PHAL (top) is the phthalazine adduct with dihydroquinine.

In AD-mix β; DHQD2PHAL is the phthalazine adduct with dihydroquinidine.

One mix is used for each one of the enantiomers. The mix further contains:
