Ad-Libs Improvisational Comedy Theater

Ad-Libs is an improvisational comedy theater tucked away in a corner of Dallas, Texas' Downtown Arts District. In 1986 Ad-Libs performed its first show in the banquet room of the El Chico Restaurant. For the next three years, Ad-Libs floated from restaurant to restaurant. With more than a dozen credit cards maxed out, at 19.8 percent interest, an abandoned warehouse in downtown Dallas began transformation into Ad-Libs current home. Since its humble debut in an El Chico banquet room, Ad-Libs now produces troupes in Atlanta, Georgia, Tulsa, Oklahoma and of course Dallas, Texas.
