Ad Astra literally means "To the Stars." This award-winning quarterly magazine is published by the National Space Society (NSS), a nonprofit, 501(c)3 aerospace advocacy and educational institution headquartered in Washington, D.C..

Imaginova Corp., publisher of internet site Space.com was appointed in January 2005 as the newest publisher of Ad Astra.

Additionally, Imaginova has created a new destination on the SPACE.com website: Ad Astra Online, devoted to the ideas, opinions, political critiques and analysis from the Society and its membership.
