Abe Iso

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Born in Fukuoka, he studied at Doshisha University and abroad, and became a Unitarian preacher. He taught at the University of Tokyo from 1899. In 1900, he became president of the Socialist Society and in the following year, he founded Shakaiminshuto with other founders. In 1924. he became president of the Japan Fabian Society and was elected to the Diet in 1928. In 1932, he became a chairman of Shakaitaishuto but withdrew from politics in 1940. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
