A League of Their Own
A League of Their Own is a 1992 movie which tells a fictionalized account of the real-life All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. It was adapted by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel from a story by Kim Wilson and Kelly Candaele, and was directed by Penny Marshall.

The character of "Jimmy Dugan", the team manager played by Tom Hanks, is loosely based on real-life baseball player Jimmie Foxx. All of the actresses did their own baseball playing -- they did not have stunt doubles.
