Two singles, "Ha" and "Back That Azz Up" became hip-hop hits in the United States, although "Back That Azz Up" was the only one that managed to cross over and become a pop hit as well. The album was a #2 hit on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums and peaked at #9 on the Billboard 200. "Follow Me Now" was also a single, but did not catch on as the other two did. As a single, "Back That Azz Up" was released, credited, and charted as the more polite "Back That Thang Up".
