- October 10 - More4, a digital channel from Channel 4 offering factual content, to launch.
- October 31 - Sky Three to be launched on all British digital platforms. On the same day Sky Mix will be rebranded as Sky Two. Sky Travel will cease transmission on Freeview.
- November 1 - ITV4, a digital channel aimed at men, to be launched.
- November 8 - Days of Our Lives celebrates its fortieth anniversary on the air.
