1993 World Championships in Athletics

The 4th World Championships in Athletics, under the auspices of the International Association of Athletics Federations, were held in the Gottlieb Daimler Stadium, Stuttgart, Germany between August 13 and August 22.

The 1993 World Championships was the final time the women's 3000 m would be contested. At subsequent Championships the race was replaced by the longer 5000 m.

There is currently a dispute with regard to adding flags to the results tables. Before adding more flags can we first try and reach a consenus on this issue? I have set up a page to try and address this issue.
