1910 Fruitgum Company
The 1910 Fruitgum Company is a band, the name of which is from a wrapper whichFrank Jeckell (the lead singer) found in his attic.

In 1967 the band was signed to Buddah Records. Here, they recorded the song Simon Says. However the band members didn't like it, but after persuasuion by Frank they decided to do it as a lark. In the process they changed beat and feel of the song.

The song immediately become a hit and become number one in the chart.

The band started touring, playing with major acts such as ].

They followed on to release the hits 1-2-3 Red Light, Indian Giver, Goody Gumdrops and May I Take a Giant Step.
