Ten years later, De La Soul sampled the intro to the song in their hip-hop hit "Me, Myself, and I", which #24 on the Billboard Pop Charts and #1 on the R&B Charts. The song has been heavily sampled by hip-hop artists, with others using it including LL Cool J ("Nitro"), Tone Loc ("Funky Cold Medina") and Snoop Dogg ("What's My Name?").
